Our client is an internationally recognized, award-winning product development agency, with its Head Office based in London with offices Internationally. Their innovative, creative team is fully devoted to quality production for each and every partner they work with.

Job Purpose

The Senior Beauty Product Manager is responsible for identifying and developing new commercially viable products and renovate core products to enhance the offering to our retail beauty clients. You will oversee the development of all beauty categories from colour cosmetics, fragrance, skin and hair care and manage a team of two.

Duties & Responsibilities

Work closely with the Product and Brand Director and Head of Creative to develop and launch own brand and private label products from initial concept to successful launch. You will be responsible for ensuring the product ideas you present are in line with the product strategy and commercially viable.

  • Lead by example in proposing new proactive branded or unbranded products ideas that can be used by account managers to win more business. Keep an eye to the industry and its trends. See what’s out there already and proactively propose new product for upcoming sales meetings.
  • Manage the critical path process, from briefing through to final sign offs, ensuring work is accurate and looking for ways to improve costs and sampling.
  • Envision, implement and maintain a project tracker tool to measure and manage the product development team workload for both proactive and reactive projects.
  • Fully immerse yourself in the product development process, liaising with the design and sales team in London and Supplier Account Management team in Asia ensuring that all relevant colleagues are involved in the process.
  • Identify ways to improve the new project development workflow.
  • Develop and maintain key relationships internally and with clients and suppliers, creating a strong network to aid problem solving across the business
  • Liaise with the technical team to make sure all the checks, tests and tasks are carried out in a timely manner.
  • Work with the design team on initial ideas and concepts. You will work closely with the artworker to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
  • Proactively look for packaging solutions and first and secondary packaging product trends to improve ranges and keep them fresh and interesting at all times.
  • Manage your team’s performance, ensuring regular performance reviews are conducted and training needs identified.

Qualifications & Prior Experience
